IBP

Value Proposition

We leverage our experience in business process optimization and our profound knowledge of established SAP products like APO or ECC and BI to implement seamlessly integrated supply chain planning solutions based on SAP cloud products, that span from IBP through CPI  into S/4HANA on-premise or in the cloud serve as the backbone of seamless integration.

Besides the implementation of projects, we also offer valuable training online or at customer sites. Some of our consultants are experienced trainers who provide training on behalf of SAP in Walldorf or at customer sites in IBP and S/4HANA.

Approach

During structured workshops, we will work together to understand your business planning processes, identify pain points, and articulate improvement strategies. As a team, we will translate the improvement strategies into solution implementation approaches, serving as the realization project’s foundation.

Consultants and representatives from the business are all embedded in one homogeneous team, allowing for knowledge exchange and support throughout the engagement.

SAP Integrated Business Planning

As supply chains are growing more complex and markets are becoming increasingly volatile organizations need processes and tools that can help them react in a timely, most efficient, and flexible manner to unpredicted changes.

SAP IBP supports businesses in establishing feasible supply chain plans under consideration of financial profit, in which all plans are based on the same model and seamlessly integrated.

Below are a few challenges that we can help address and implement within days.

Integration of IBP Time-Series Supply with S/4Hana or ECC

Integrating IBP and ERP (S/4Hana or ECC) is one of the most challenging aspects of any project. The old CIF is no longer available, and a concept is required to ensure that the feasible plan determined in IBP can be invariably transferred to ERP.

The challenge of this integration is twofold:

  1. Technical integration

CPI task is required to transfer IBP data as Planned Independent Requirements (PIR). SAP provides CPI templates to either download PIR to a flat file or transfer them to APO. The transfer to ERP has left a challenge for the project team to resolve.

We have an out-of-the-box standard solution for this.

  1. Process integration

The frozen horizon can be used in IBP to ensure that the short-term supply chain plan determined in ERP remains unchanged, but provides an opening stock to be considered by IBP in the mid-and long-term plan. On the other hand, the plan determined in IBP needs to be made available in ERP outside the frozen horizon.

A concept is required to ensure that all sourcing decisions made in IBP are considered during the short-term plan in ERP without changing the long-term stemming from IBP.
